website Message from the Chairman |
A very warm welcome to our new season of choral concerts which are held at Holy Trinity Church, Briggate, Knaresborough. We are a growing and enthusiastic choral society of around 70 members and always welcome new singers. We do not hold auditions for new members. If you have a good voice and can sing in tune, that is all that is required. The ability to read music is an advantage but not a necessity. Enthusiasm, a love of music and a willingness to make a regular commitment to rehearsals are important. You will be made to feel at home from your first rehearsal. Martin Binks, our resident musical director, and members of the Leeds Symphony Orchestra will again be leading and accompanying us at two of our major concerts. We are very fortunate to have the talented Beryl Pankhurst as our accompanist again for the forthcoming season. Rehearsals start on Thursday 6th September 2007 at 730pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall, off Briggate and we meet every Thursday evening for two hours. The church is approached through an archway along a drive and stands in its own grounds. There is ample parking both in the church grounds and nearby. I look forward to seeing you at rehearsals on Thursday evenings at 730pm until 930pm. Brian Jelbert - Chairman (Tel:01423-862003) |
